I live in Columbus where the band is from. I wish them nothing but luck. Having known some people who have been in the Rose parade and other big parades, it is very, very hard work and is not as easy as it looks on TV. You have to be in top physical condition as well as good at playing your instrument. Of course there will be sighted guides to help the kids stay in line, but they are going to need lots of practice.

Yep, they sure are. I'm originally from Columbus, too, and although I didn't attend OSSB, I know a few people who did. I have no idea what the band sounds like right now, but hopefully they will work their butts off to do a great job come January of 2010. I think it would be so awesome to be a part of the Rose Parade. These students are very lucky to have the opportunity, and I hope that they appreciate it.
